George Hester started out in the financial services industry in 1972, initially serving individual families of closely-held businesses. Over the ensuing decades, George has guided affluent families from across the country in solving problems related to estate planning, wealth transfer, and business succession planning. He has the unique ability to integrate non-financial and family dynamics into the wealth management process and has enjoyed seeing countless clients achieve a successful transfer of family wealth across multiple generations.

As demand for his innovative approach grew, George assembled top talent, joining forces with skilled partners to found Navitas Wealth Advisors in 2001. As chairman, George maintains the firm’s focus on implementing its comprehensive, thoughtful process designed to enhance the use, enjoyment, and impact of Family Wealth. A recognized expert in the field, he has written numerous articles for business publications and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences for a diverse group of industries including accounting, legal, construction, and real estate. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University.

George was born and raised on his family’s farm in Sallis, Mississippi. Together with Patricia, his wife of more than 50 years, they raised their four children on this same family farm. They are actively involved in the lives of their children, 14 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. George is an active member and supporter of the Mississippi Board for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Board of Unite Mississippi, and Estate Planning Council of Mississippi.
