George Hester

George started out in the financial services industry in 1972 and began the search to understand what it meant to be wealthy.  He initially served individual families, which led to serving family-owned businesses.

As his practice grew, he became increasingly intrigued by wealth and business transfer issues which were having a dramatically negative impact on families of wealth and family-owned businesses. This intrigue led him on a journey of seeking answers to the questions: What does it mean to be wealthy, and how does one perpetuate wealth across multiple generations of a family?  The answers he came across forever changed the definition of wealth and the business this journey led him to start.

For over 45 years, George has served as a coach to provide counsel to ultra-high-net-worth families across the country on matters relating to estate, wealth transfer and business succession planning.  He has coached many families through major milestone transitions and has enjoyed the success of seeing those families continue their Family Wealth to the second, third, and fourth generations. He has unique ability of being able to integrate the non-financial and family dynamics into the Wealth Planning Process that creates better family and financial outcomes. He and his team have developed a process that enhances the use, enjoyment and impact of Family Wealth across multiple generations.

He is a nationally recognized speaker on the subjects of “Wealth Transfer” and “Business Succession Planning.” George has worked with some of the most influential families of wealth in the country.

George was born and raised on his family’s farm in Sallis, Mississippi.  Together with his wife Patricia of 49 years, they have raised their four children on this same family farm.  They are actively involved in the lives of their children and 12 grandchildren, whom they hold close to their hearts. George is a graduate of Mississippi State University (1972).

George is an active member on the Mississippi Board for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, founder of the Greater Jackson Roaring Lambs Ministry, a member of the Mississippi Economic Council (MEC), the Estate Planning Council of Mississippi (EPC), and The Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU).  He enjoys staying involved in his local church, First Baptist Church of Kosciusko, Mississippi, where he serves as a Deacon.
